CBRE is looking for a Chief Engineer in Luleå (Sweden)

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a Chief Engineer to join an established Data Centre portfolio.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record in leading mechanical and electrical maintenance in a critical or data centre environment and have excellent interpersonal skills.  

 

YOUR DUTIES

  • Own and lead the delivery of technical and engineering standards on site
  • Ensure that critical facilities within the Data Centre are operating to defined high standards
  • Act as Senior Authorised Person for HV
  • In the event of incidents, undertake root cause analysis / post problem review and liaise closely with client and CBRE technical experts
  • Be responsible for training, carry out scenario / best drill training with technical staff
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are developed and available for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
  • Ensure technical staff are fully competent and trained to necessary standards to ensure quality and compliant delivery
  • Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised and comply with site operating procedures
  • Act as client interface to ensure customer satisfaction and understanding of technical systems and processes
  • Ensure that planned maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations
  • To ensure timely planning & delivery of plant & System shutdowns and other long term contractually committed works to meet contract programmes
  • Ensure all reactive repairs are undertaken safely and within appropriate time scales · Liaise, audit and manage our sub-contractors including pricing and quoting of small works
  • Work with the permit manager, ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems
  • Ensure that suitable spares and materials are available to carry out maintenance of the plant and assets
  • Ensure that maintenance records are kept in line with CBRE and client requirements
  • Support the Account Manager to ensure the site is statutory compliant and records align to CBRE’s Quality Management System
  • Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment and ensure compliance with all company and customer policies.  

 

YOUR PROFILE

To successfully deliver the above tasks you must have between 5 and 10 years-experience working in a critical or data centre environment.  You must possess a deep technical knowledge and be willing to learn new skills.

You must have IT skills corresponding to user level with experience in MS Office and good general IT skills since there are many systems you need to navigate. 

Additionally, you must be able to speak and write English at a technical/user level.
